I was just wondering if you guys could give me opinions here, not like a proper diagnosis. I'm pretty sure I have social anxiety but my brother thinks I'm being dramatic. I relate to a lot of experiences that people with social anxiety have and I constantly fear judgement. However, I don't think I experience the actual physical signs such as blushing. I'm really struggling at this point, any help would be very much appreciated.

I don’t think anyone is too comfortable with the feeling of being judged. Maybe you just have a fairly normal level of anxiety, everyone experiences some level of it.

Why do you feel you are not the norm if you aren’t aware of any actual symptoms? Could you, perhaps, just be under a bit of higher than normal stress that’s making you feel like that at the moment?

if you feel it then i cant see why it would matter as for your brother i assume ignorance dont take it to heart ignorance is bliss try go to a doctor or gp talk about how you feel look into seeing a therapist who does cbt known as cognitive behavioural therapy it is essentially we all want to do things right ? say you want to go to a shop to get a videogame it can be anything imagine what you would go out to get now imagine the thoughts you have where do them thoughts come from ? cbt therapy will make it possible for you to do things by changing how your cogs work in your subconscious and conscious mind it works its not a load of bollocks all it is changing thought patterns to make life easier

I feel I'm not the norm because I struggle to do normal things like going shopping and walking round the block. I've been shopping on my own once in my entire life and I hated every second and when I shop with my friends it's even worse. I think most people can do this without fear. There are a few other things as well, this is just the first example that comes to mind.
