Hello everyone,

I am diagnosed with ptsd.
But I think there are more issues regarding my mental health.
I hear voices. I hallucinate. I hear things.
I have anger issues. I don't trust anyone including family. I see shadows. I have a feeling someone is always following/spying on me.
I think I also have schizophrenia. But my psychologist says those symptoms are also seen in cases with severe ptsd.
Is this true?

Or do I have schizophrenia??

Medication:450mg Seroquel
30mg Mirtazapine. 3x100mg Tramadol. 20mg Seroquel and 20mg temazepam for sleep.

Ps: I am also diagnosed with fibromyalgia and sleep apnea.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum
I'm sorry we can't diagnose you. It's true many disorders can overlap with symptoms.
However you should see a psychiatrist for an assessment.
Take care

I'm a voice hearer with three and a half years experience but haven't been diagnosed as schizophrenic.

Before medication I used to hear mine in my ears like someone was in the room with me but post meds I just hear it in my mind like my own thoughts but different, seperate and uncontrollable.

How do you hear voices and what are they like?

Well i see a person or something watching me from out of my window at random times. Mostly when its dark. I see people smiling or waving at me when they dont. At least my son told me why i was waving and i said the lady waved at me. And my son said she was just walking. And not waving.
The people i talk to change. Like they are literally getting possessed by something. It's glowing their eyes glow. And then i get hostile against them. And usually get away asap to my house.
And sometimes i see someone standing in my room.

I have one voice that is constantly making fun of me offending me, telling me i am one fucked up soul and i deserve to be sick etc.
And one voice, an angry voice, that is constantly trying to tell me that all the people around me are there to hurt me. He tells me something of every person i see. And making me carry something to defend me. He acts like he is protecting me from everyone. He tells me when i have to be ready to defend myself.
Sometimes i listen and dont even take my meds because he says not to do it.

You are already on a lot of meds bro. I suggest speaking this over with a p-doc.

Meds take the power out of voices, of course yours wants you to stop. Mine is frequently begging to come off them but it's never going to happen.

I think it's best to follow your doctors advice and take them as prescribed.

I never listen to my voice, he's wrong about everything. I've been ignoring him for just over three years and I'm much better for it.

Hello again everyone. Today I had an appointment with 2 of my psychologists. One is for EMDR treatment and one is for my therapy. It's almost certain that I have, aside my ptsd and general anxiety disorder, paranoïde personality disorder. But they can't place my voices. There is also paranoïde schizophrenia. I don't know if I should be happy or sad. At least I know what I have.

Sczhiophrenia does cover hearing voices, and paranoia.

Like what one had said, we cannot give you a p rognosis, and can't diagnose you, you must, must seek further mental healht assistance in this.

Best Wishes.

Natalie.
