Dear all,
This is my first time posting, I hope it will be useful...
The question is that for 1 year I've been feeling this dizziness and instability/lack of equilibrium during all the day that makes me feel very unconfortable.
I've visited a lot of doctors and everything it's okay so must be some kind of anxiety that generates these feelings.
Currently I'm working on this psicological problem with a therapist but it can be useful for me and others to share my experience and meet people who somatize the anxiety like me.
It is true that my work is quite stressing (PhD student) and I always have been some kind of hypochondriac but never felt something similar to this.
Thank you for reading this,
Regards,
A.

Hi,

I suffer with lightheadedness most days and it lasts all day im currently in the process of seeing a hypnothearpist, have a blood test next week, ive had an eye test to check for diabetes or brain problems, i rung an ambulance out before and they checked my whole body which everything was fine, ive seen 4 GP’s and countless times ringing private gps online which cost a fortune... and most of the gps say its anxiety others say go hospital which worries me more and makes me have panic attacks so ive learnt that its nothing serious just having a blood test to put my mind at rest, im currently on tablets prescirbed from my gp for the dizziness which help some what, but ive learnt to deal with it it will come strongly one day then the next it goes for a week at a time and i feel fine, it seems that when i worry a lot about things it comes back. Its the most scary time of my life and its a horrible feeling i feel unbalanced sometimes and lightheaded. I believe its due to stress hormones or from constant worry. You can talk to me if you feel more comfortable as i am also experiancing the exact same problem.

Hi Folks,

I was very much relieved, this afternoon, in terms of what with bad weat her in tow, that my mother phoned me about 3.15pm, and they were back on the nose of 3.30pm, threfore, now, my anxieties have returned very much more normal levels, and for another reason, I'm wearing my bands which I once discovered help me for anxiety levels, when going over the top in slight worrying.

Best regards all,

Natalie.

Hi to both in this thread,

I do very much apologise. I had been having a bit of a techical gliche this afternoon, and ah inadvertantly, popped my post within a wrong anxiety thread, in the Anxiety forums.

I do very much apologise for that.

However i was g oing to make a suggestion as well for instability for Alec.com, how about if you could try taking a supplement, horsetail, I'm not too sure at the moment where you can purchase horsetail supplement from, mum had instability walking wise recently, brother recommended to her, and has been taking 1 a day, and I have notice a slight overall improvement. Maybe if you could give horsetail supplement a try - unusual I know, just might work, for your instability?

Best wishes

Thank you for your comments... The key question is to control this "fear" and anxiety and this dizziness decreases so... I have to work hard on that.
Kind regards,
A.

The dizziness is caused by a change in hormones and serotonin. A bit like when you adjust the lens of a camera going in-focus and out of focus your way of going "out of focus" is through dizziness.

Your doctor can prescribe d-amphetamine to remove the dizziness.

Really interesting! Do you have any documentation about it that I can check out?
I appreciate your help,
A.

Hi alecorn are you on any meds for your anxiety cos they can have strange effects on you. I was put on abilify for a while but I shook like mad , my balance went and I had difficulty swallowing. Within a couple of weeks of stopping the drug I was fine.. if your not on meds anxiety can do all sorts of things to your brain even mimicking a heart attack and making your legs not want to move. Practice breathing techniques they do help.
Breathe in for a count of three
Hold for a count of four
Breathe out for a count of five.

Do this two or three time and you will calm down

One thing that helps me when my anxiety gets really bad is cupping my hands over my face and breathing through my hands

How long does the dizziness last for? And is it right to notice it when your doing sports activities? The feeling of fainting?

It is a soft sensation... The weird thing is that when I'm doing sport or bicicle I do not feel it!

Interesting... i just feel unbalanced, well thats good maybe more excercise is needed for you! I havent been able to play football for 2 months due to feeling lightheaded whenever i excercise i seem to feel it more, maybe because i am focusing on it so much trying “not” to feel dizzy i become dizzy.
