Have a look at the Open University. I did a course with them, and the learning materials were first class.

I did some courses with Learn Direct
I used to go to their centres
but you can also do it at home I think

there are these online videos to learn from
which were really interesting

One that I was recommended was Alison on line courses. They do quite a few free courses but you can also do gcse and A levels. I’ve done a few of the free ones

I just tried going on The Havard site and they want you to buy material. Years ago when they first started out it was all free. Not sure why they are charging people must be a marketing strategy. I still trust the site though. I looked up Ancient Egyptian Pyramids. Almost brought the materials I love that stuff.

yes I started with little courses at first
which were quite hard anyway
but not like going into a degree straight away

some places they do really tiny courses
that will not take up alot of time

just to get started
when you are already working

Anyone heard of Oxbridge Home Learning?

Looking at a course with them, i would probably do better with studying using a paper pack and they do a paper pack and the course I am looking at is cheaper than learndirect
