I was coming home in my Toyota Avalon at night and I was driving and there’s a small person wearing you know all black I’m in so I was driving pretty close to her because I was checking the dashboard now changing the temperature I did get a little distracted looking at my phone but I passed really fast and I thought I hit a person in black clothing or something so I looked at the rearview mirror but I couldn’t see any body and when I got back I checked to see if there was any blood stains on the on the tires but there weren’t any and there was no damage whatsoever. But I’m being torn up inside we’re just the thought of running someone over there was no damage and I don’t think I hit anybody but yet I still have this like feeling in the head and not in the conscious about what happened. Am I a bad person or is this hit and run OCD? Because I keep going back-and-forth thinking I hit someone or I didn’t

You likely should have stopped and checked if it was a person right away. It doesn't sound like you actually did, hopefully, but... Stopping right there to check was the responsible thing.

Be aware, if you did hit somebody, by not stopping it is now hit and run.

Listen to local radio or tv to see if anything is mentioned, for a few days. If there was, call a lawyer, right away.

I know it's not great news, but it's all I had.

Mind you - do you already have OCD, like, is this sort of thing a common event for you? If you often getthis fear and it's nothing, it likely didn't happen.

I don’t have an official diagnosis but I have a lot of these thoughts mostly about hitting mailboxes and sometimes people

Hopefully it was just your imagination, then.

But, seriously, you should always double check these incidents, just to be safe.

Did you hear a noise when you passed this person, like a collision, if not then it's likely just your OCD.This is a common OCD Sympton I used to get it a lot!I still double check sometimes when i drive past people who are on the pavement even though i know for sure i didn't hit them.I am sure you are worrying about nothing.Sure listen to the local news but this i'm certain is "Just OCD.Take care.
