We will work with anyone affected by, or with an interest in, mental health issues. If we cannot help with a particular referral, we will 'signpost' the enquirer on to other suitable services or resources. We can work in liaison with other agencies according to the client's wishes, including Community Mental Health Services, housing agencies, drug and alcohol services, services for people with sensory, mobility or other impairments. We provide:

  • Emotional support, which recognises the individual’s particular mental health condition;
  • Support in learning or re-learning skills —such as social skills, everyday life and domestic skills, budgeting, health, safety and security, liaising with other agencies — which can become difficult during or when recovering from mental ill-health;
  • Support to access informal learning or community activities, volunteering or employment opportunities.
  • Our Wellbeing Hub is now open regularly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10.00am to - 3.00pm at our Darley Dale office. There is a wide range of activities to get involved in, including Employment Recovery, Stop Smoking, Nutrition and Budgeting, Craft Groups and Stress Busting activities.
  • Our new photography Group ReFocus: this is open to all regardless of ability or past experience. You don't need a camera - we can provide them - just an interest in learning more about photography.
  • You are welcome to drop in to the Hub on days that we are open and speak to a member of staff; as well as the activities on offer at the Hub there is a quiet corner and a private room available.
  • Weekly Creative Workshops: this is one of our scheduled regular activities at the Hub. Come along to the weekly Creative workshops each Thursday 1.00pm to 3.00pm. There will be imaginative stories, drawings and art, music and dance and movement.
