New here. Not gonna lie, I am struggling lately. I just had everything all typed up to vent out and then deleted all of it because I have that mentality that, "No one gives a shit. Don't bother people with your problems. They have their own issues to worry about." I am also so scatter brained ALL THE TIME. I can never get my thoughts out the way I want to

bro, i guess it is okay to share your thoughts since things can be sorted faster, and plus there are people out there would listen to your issue

I hear you and feel the same, like you don't want to be a nuisance or that people don't want to know. But I found out today that some people do actually care and want to help and support. I hope you find these people in your life, we are all worthy and are not insignificant. Xx

Many of us are here on this forum to listen, give support, as well as speak our own minds and problems. Never be afraid in here to say what is happening to you.

I was raised on that. When I was a child, the above quote is exactly what I used to hear constantly from the adults in the family. As I grew older, I found out that what they told me was generally true. I do feel better when I can solve problems alone or with the advice of a health professional, rather than burdening friends or family. However, I don't know what it says for our society when there isn't much empathy to be found anywhere.

I second what midnightphoenix wrote.
Many of us feel this way. I have been struggling to talk to anyone past months, and I realized at some point that the unspoken (unfortunately all negative) thoughts have just been piling up in my head, which brought me to the point that I was unable to respond to a polite "how are you" without crying, I couldn't even speak out a fake "fine". My advice is - speak about it. Or, here, rather, write about it. When I realized I really need to share the burden, I first started writing my feelings on paper, just for myself. I must have dozens of papers filled. That helped me formulate my thoughts, but of course there was no feedback. That is when I decided to join this forum, it is easier to write things down than talk to anyone f2f. We are all here to share and listen, and it can only help you if you find the strength to share your thoughts.

I have a journal that I tried to keep track of my moods. I realized I only wrote when I was really, really sad.

I understand, and I think it makes sense, because when we feel the negative emotions is probably when we will remember to write into the journal. It might be a naive idea, but how about setting a reminder a couple of times per day and writing down something, anything, every time? Even putting a short "I am not too bad at the moment" in, would maybe make one subconsiously realize that there are some positive moments in the pile of the bad ones...
