Depression can and does take away a lot of our lives so we just don't try really to motivate our selfs at all, so we might stay in bed or just slob around our homes but we can't always do that as it just makes matters worse. We have to really push our selfs like I did earlier on, I was logged in here and thought GO and have a bath that might be small to some but I am so glad I did as right now I feel really great.

Depression is one of those crippling things that really make you unable to do anything at all. After a while, you become unable to see the future and everything becomes meaningless. I think one trick that I would like to suggest is to go by the motions till you can do something different. Get yourself to wake up in a particular time, get yourself to eat whether you feel like it or not, get yourself to water the plants if you have any, and when you have gone by the motions, try to do something new, maybe go stand in the balcony for a bit. Maybe rub an ice cube over your face. Shake your body a little even if it feels tedious.

The trick really here is to look at yourself as a sick child and do what is required for that child. I don't know if this will help, but I really genuinely hope it does.

I really think that is very helpful, and a very self-nurturing way of trying to heal or at least feel just a bit better.

Depression and anxiety both are quite tiring. I get exhausted "for no reason" and need a good nap once or twice a day even if I get seven hours sleep overnight.

I find depression makes me perpetually tired because I feel so dull and bored. Apathy and lethargy combined.

And I find anxiety makes me physically tired from the constant worrying, fear and tension. It's exhausting, using all that energy! The only relief is sleep!
