I was on celexa 10mg for just 3 weeks when I started developing severe side effects like a major increase in anxiety and depression along with increased paranoia and suicidal ideation. I stopped taking it last Friday and am still having some major side effects. I just can't seem to get passed them. I am looking for anyone that has been through similar. It almost feels like these side effects are permanent now and will never go away. My doctor said that it takes about a week to get out of my system, but do the side effects go away as well? If so, how long does that usually take since I was only on it for 3 weeks. I'm already a very anxious guy and I deal with mild depression on a daily basis along with pretty strong paranoia. I've not been able to get a good nights sleep since being on it which is also affecting my mental health. I just feel overwhelmed with guilt and shame for every little mistake I've ever made and it's eating at me to my core. Usually I don't have any issues with intense guilt, but since the side effects of celexa started I've been seriously considering an exit plan.

Mainly I just want to know that I'm not going mad and that the side effects will calm down soon.

I was also on Celexa and had a huge increase in my anxiety, I weaned off per my MDs instructions and after about 3 weeks I felt back to basic, hang on, it will go away.
