Anyone else totally failed in this ?

I think maybe I could only have a relationship with a woman who has ASD.

But I have no options on that. I'm in a complicated situation at the moment.

I was sick during the first year or so of my relationship with my wife. There were some terrible times, but the good outweighed the bad.

One xmas we went to her parents house. I had a severe psychotic break during my time there. The 8 hour drive home was scared. I was paranoid about her family.

Once I told her about my mental illness, she jumped into action and I started treatment again. We worked hard together.

We had to reschedule our wedding because I was in the hospital. We were heartbroken.

But eventually I got well and I finally had a reason to stay that way. it's been 7 years since I started treatment and there has been some episodes, but mainly all good.

I am grateful everyday she didn't leave me.
