It could be one of several mental health conditions with hearing voices and sounds as a symptom. Not necessarily scitzophrenia. People with scitzophrenia usually don't know when they are ill, it's called lack of insight, or do not recognize symptoms that other people find very noticeable. Best to discuss with your doctor as soon as possible for early treatment. Have you had any kind of assessment done yet with your doctors about this?

Sorry missed the part on you waiting to see your gp. Do write out whats happening for him so he can refer you to the right specialist to help you.

These are definately things you should include in your list for the doctor. I imagine the anxiety over what is happening may be causing some paranoia issues for you. This is more common than you would think. Have you looked at the hearing voices section on the forum? It could help you find some understanding as to what is happening to you. How old are you btw? Just curious, as a lot of these types of conditions develop when your entering into your twenties.

I have to log off for now but keep posting, sure others will help you understand as well. I'll check in on your thread when I get back online this evening later. Try not to worry to much and do check on the Hearing voices section.

Hi unique86

All these symptoms can be explained by depression/anxiety alone. In extreme cases you can get psychosis or psychotic like symptoms with depression. They can also be caused by a range of other things like for instance sleep deprivation or drugs. ( I'm not implying anything )
I'm no expert but off the cuff and having had a few schizo friends and spent some time hospitalised with schizos these symptoms do not sound like schizophrenia.
I hope that is the case because schizophrenia is a rather serious and debilitating illness requiring long-term medication. Although some can have fully functional life with it.
I hope your gp appointment goes well and that you get referred to a psychiatrist if required.

like Gajolene said

It's unusual to see people that don't exist in that way, not as common as you would expect in schizophrenia, me thinks(seriously). I don't see people, I'm such a loser not even apparitions want to be my friends.....................sorry had to get than one in:peace:
