I had really bad pain in my hip today from where I was injured
and ended up having a bit more chocolate
than I had planned

I do normally allow myself a bit of sugar
but if I go over that, I count it as compulsive eating
so I consider I have eaten compulsively today

it seemed to ease the pain in my hip
but if I keep doing that
I will just gain more weight
and put more pressure on my hip

try not to be too hard on yourself when you do
you are a lovely person and should be only kind to yourself

zomg i eat all sort of bad things on a daily basis . several things and i dont care as long as my body feels good. the only problem is i force myself to overeat. i think your body naturally tells you when to stop.

I seem to be having a go at the sugar today
again spontaneously
nothing strict just I came home
and wanted a savoury snack instead of a sugar one
going through all the withdrawal, elation stuff

I dont like the way I depend on sugar
to cheer me up

Im a big comfort food indulger when I get a bout of depression or emotion. More savory then sweet though. But I think as long as its not a regular indulgence its fine. Everything in moderation.

Perhaps you should try to go the extra mile to curb your habit then. If it causes you that much emotional distress.

it's easier said than done

I too am a comfort eater (especially over holidays like christmas and new year) and I know from experience cutting down isn't just a magic cure

I used to comfort eat, but since i've been having more regular issues with acid reflux i tend to only eat food a few times in a day now & try to avoid food with a lot of sugar in, though im unsure if thats even helping at this point :sorry:

a small amount of.sugar is necesary to help the liver.process the grease and other stuff also u should always eat some.carbs with the grease to absorb it
