If you're coughing up green stuff it's most likely some type of infection like bronchitis.

Go see your doctor for antibiotics

Sounds like you have a bad head cold. Visit your pharmacist to have it confirmed- he/she can check your throat. It could be a throat infection. If it is, you will probably be advised to get some decongestive medication (available over the counter) and something to help you breath- like menthol oil or vaparub (add to steam and inhale)- and something to soothe your throat.
Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated; stay rested and if you feel hot, loose some layers. Paracetamol will also help get your temperature down, but make sure they don't interact with any other medication you're on.

Most infections, our bodies are cleverly designed to fight off. However, if you notice blood in your flem/sputum or you are having trouble breathing, get in to see your doctor as soon as you can.

Hope you get well soon.

I'm just getting over a bad cold, 12 days it's lasted so far. Plenty of green stuff for me too. It's fairly normal.

It really isn't normal to cough up green stuff, it can be a sign of puenomia. Please see your dr urgently.

Hi jtreyo sorry u r poorly. Theres some nasty cold sweeping country! I know 2 people that have had it a month. Unrelated. Its on their chests, coughing up stuff.
If its green its infection. Fever to be expected. Dont be alarmed, I know you cant help it.
Lots of warm water not too hot. Lots! Keep throat and ears covered and breathe into whatever you use to do so. Keep breath warm in other words.
Basically get cosy and keep head warm. Lemsips are very good but you can make your own too.

If anything it;s most likley to be sinusistuses. If youi have had pain in your face cheeks, and headaches, and like you say, bringing up green, this is most likely to be that. i just have been having it myself.

Do please see chemist, or health independant store, and buy collidal silver, sorry MHF, this one needs help, and I felt to name drop, the type of stuff, that I and mother swear too, over there in London. It's brilliant for clearing infections, the 30 part strength can be purchased in the States, and everywhere else hopefully, only 10 part strength can be purchased, in London. I have been taking 3 spoons of the 10 part.

I have taken paracetamol, and nurofen separately for pains, depending on the level of acuteness, and please space out the doses.

Also, yes, please phone GPs and get an urgent appointment.

I wish you well.

Sorry to have heard that, Indiog6, unfortunately, and annoyingly, via our GP practice, due to the powers that be high above the Senior level GP, in chief, they CANNOT PRESCRIBE ANTIBIOTICS for sinusituses, so I was and we';ll in home take, colloidal silver instead.

I have just had a dose of Sudafed, to help the sinuses pains of mine, though.

Best wishes.

It can also be a sign of a chesty cough, a chest infection or bronchitis. I often get green or yellow, but don't usually cough it up.

They always used to say that green was a sign of a secondary bacterial infection, but I think they've changed their minds now. It isn't uncommon.

OP - Might be worth seeing a pharmacist (if you have them in the US) and explaining that you are coughing up green and have a slight fever.
