I have this intense fear of time! It goes buy way too fast! I wish I could slow it down. I don't have the time to accomplish any dream of mine. Pretty soon I'm gonna be dead! I don't know if I'll like where I ended up!!! :panic::cry2:

Does anyone else have fear of time? :scratcheshead:

I experience time dragging on and on but then I experience the weeks just flying by and suddenly it's years that have passed. Suddenly I'm old. But there's this continuity, this NOW that seems endless. Perhaps my fear of it is submerged.

Not a fear of time exactly, but like Poopy says, sometimes it drags really slowly and sometimes you look back and notice it accumulated into mountains and mountains of it.

I wish I could add more hours in the day and maybe even more days in a week to stretch it out. :nod2:

I fear time too. When I think about the future it feels so disproportionately short and it makes me feel like there is no point to trying to achieve anything. It's really depressing and it directly hinders my life on a daily basis. From experience, I think that the best way to combat it is to just not think about it, though, this doesn't always work due to how the world changes and the fact that people just can't seem to stop bringing it up all the damn time. I think I lost the point of this reply. Sorry heh

It’s frightening how quickly time goes by I’m now a pensioner with teenage grandchildren and I don’t know how that happened. I do have a fear tho that I haven’t achieved anything . I never went to college and I so wish I had.

I'm afraid to look at clocks now. I've had to take my wall clock down a few times.:scared:

Eggtimer might be helpful for gradual overcoming of time-fear. A clockwork one and set it to a minute a few times each day. Then up it to three minutes. Could go all the way and ten, half a hour and the full hour. Some eggtimers go three hours on a log scale. Could even buy some eggs to boil as a distraction and reward for waiting?

I feel that time is running out too.

I remember the last 20 years in vivid detail from when I was 35 to 55 and, when I project 20 years forward to when I'm 75 it scares me.

I do find that I worry less about the passage of time when I'm doing something I enjoy.
