Hey all, pretty much at my wits end with being alone and having no one to talk to, was wondering if there were any others here who are from Chinnor and if so can you tell me some stuff that goes on around here because I'm not coping with being alone but can't find anything that is going on around here.

Hi Coffeelove.

Have you tried the meet up groups they are in all areas and cover a very wide range of activities all over the country. They seem to have a group for all sorts of things available in all areas.Cinema, meals, sports, theatre and much more.

It's worth a try. It will give you a good idea what is going on in your area,
Best wishes.

I'm too stupid for that sort of thing Unique, I don't know anything and fail to have anything to talk about and always end up remaining silent and then not returning to group activities. I struggle with being being in groups, even when I know everyone I still collapse inwards on myself, it's happened with family in the past, yeah, I'm a dead loss aint I. :low:

Your not stupid.
That sort of thing suits some and not others,
But yes I understand it could be quite daunting.
Sorry.
Libraries are quite good for displaying what's going on in areas,

with all good wishes to you.

I'm sorry, this was stupid of me to have posted this thread, I have realised today that after 11 yrs of caring for my children I don't actually have any interests and I cannot use public transport alone, this thread is pointless, can a Moderator please delete this thread.

Thank you.

Coffeelove, I read a similar post to yours on my local Mind website.

Mind can arrange for a volunteer to go out with you. It seemed to be quite a common request that people asked for.

Perhaps you could try your local branch of Mind for someone to help with this particularly difficult stage you're transitioning through??

The nearest Mind outlet is nearly 8 miles away from my village, if I were closer then maybe that would be an option to look into but a 16 mile round trip is a lot to ask of someone, I wouldn't feel comfortable with being such a burden on anyone, I'm not worth it.

I'm sure that a 8 mile trip wouldn't seem far for someone to go Coffeelove. Why don't you just drop Mind an email......it wouldn't hurt.....

You need human interaction. What facilities does your local village have? Is there a village hall? Is there some sort of club you might be able to join?? I'm sure you've already thought of this, but I just thought I'd put it out there....

You're clearly creative and artistic, as demonstrated by the beautiful pipes you've made. Those talents, I'm sure, would be very much appreciated in your local community. It would boost your self esteem to feel appreciated and needed...

You have got much to offer, but as you've taken a bad knock you can't see it at the moment....
