Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed a change to their symptons?

When I was first diagnosed the manic and depression episodes were very long. I could be manic for six months and then depressed for ten months.

Now I find that I'm swinging high and low in months, This hadn't occured to me until recently. Has anyone else had a similar experience of change?

With every episode I've needed hospitalisation. But yes, as time has gone by (I'm 34 now), I've been getting better - With long stable periods inbetween. I believe the illness for me will diminish eventually.
I also have GAD and right now this seems more difficult to tackle than Bipolar.

My Pdoc told me that apparently each episode becomes more severe as time goes by. I certainly don't believe that.
