Hiya

im just wondering, has anyone tried CBT?
and did it work for you at all?

I tried it, and spent a year doing this, but it just didnt work for me at all.

I have one last appointment before i finish as i was told it wasnt helping me at all. Have you got any ideas on what i could use the last appointment for?

Thanks

Hi,

I have found CBt to be pretty effective....

But it only started working once I became a bit better......

Your last appointment could be spent idntifying things that trigger you feeling worse and what stratergies you can put in place

Take care

Like any other form of talking therapy or medication or treatment CBT only works for some people (if there really was some magic cure for MH problems none of us would be here and the Forum wouldn't need to exist :)). If CBT hasn't worked for you (and it is not merely ineffective but highly counter-productive in my case for one - although it certainly does work for some people) there are a whole lot of other Talking Therapies which it is most definitely worth trying to get access to.

Nick.
