Hello, it's been a while since I've been here but I've nowhere else to turn. For the past 6 to 9 months I've had horrible horrible depression. To the point of only being able to eat like 1 time a week. And I've lost about 30 pounds. I'm 34 and I'm 5 foot 6 inches tall and only weigh 110 pounds. I use to weigh around 140 give or take.

I believe that the not eating makes me feel the symptoms I'm having (jittery, nauseated, sluggish and no energy, unstable mood swings, intense stomach pains and when my stomach growls from hunger it hurts, dizziness) and all of those types of symptoms.

I've been to the doctor and all of my blood work and CT and x-rays all come back 100% normal including my blood sugar.

I just can't get myself to care about eating. And it's weird because I know I should be eating and I want to eat but I always forget and just don't I guess. It's hard to explain. And when I do eat it's a small meal and it makes me very nauseated. I believe this is also contributing to my horrible anxiety and panic attacks on a daily basis.

I have a counselor but he doesn't seem to really care about me much and is just there to document appointments to get paid I guess.

Does anybody else have these same issues? I'm so sick of living like this and constantly worried about dying and never being able to smile. I don't leave my house and I have no friends but 1. He's trying to help me by getting me to leave my house but I just ignore him and say I don't feel well. Is there a way out of this?

I use to be so active. I use to cagefight in front of thousands. Now I can't talk to even 1 person in public and I hate my life and the way that i look. I need help from someone who's been where I am. Did you constantly feel sick from the not eating? I'm to the point of not even feeling hunger anymore. I don't think that's good. Idk what to do.

I’m sorry you are having this problem.
If all the tests are coming back showing no physical reason for the lack of appetite/nausea, then it might be your mental health issues causing it.
Has the counselor diagnosed you with depression/anxiety? Are you on any medication?
I lost 20 pounds in two months from anxiety, but antidepressant and anti-anxiety pills helped me so much.
It’s hard to do things when you are depressed and anxious, even eat or get out of the house.
I hope you are feeling better soon.

I've been diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder but my anxiety only revolves my health. Like hypochondria. I have tried 5 or 6 different depression meds they all really make me worse. My anxiety makes it hard to try new meds. And it causes some effects. I take buspar 10mgx3/day and it helps call me down but when I have a full blown panic attack nothing calms me down.

Could the nausea be a side effect from the Buspar? It’s listed as one.
I tried Buspar, but it wasn’t working for me. I’m on Klonopin now - it has stopped my panic attacks, and brought my anxiety way down. But everyone is different in what works for them.
If the counselor is ineffective, can you get a different one?

I have gastroperesis so I wonder if the nausea is caused by this. Sometimes I think the chest pain non cardiac but then other times I think it is cardiac related. This has been happening for months. If it were my heart. Wouldn't it have worsened by now as I'm a smoker. Or wouldn't at least have shown in blood work or ekg or CT or x-ray as i have had many many of them. I'm just tired of feeling it
