Have been staying awake all night and buying a lot of stuff online, and posting lots online. Not sure if it's the start of mania. Whats your experience with it do you know its happening?. Last time it lasted for about 3 weeks, can it just last a few days? Got some serqual hopefully that works. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

no need to sleep is a sure thing, IMHO. i'm sure people close to you can tell you the difference.

Hi, how are you?

I never seemed to realize it till people started to look at me with that she's-definitely-on-meth look on their faces. I've learned to recognize how I feel in the beginning, kind of like I had a ton of caffeine without having consumed any. Lots of fun!

It’s not so much me that notices but my spending is the first sign . And although I know it’s wrong but buying makes me so so happy. I’ve posted in another thread about the thousands I recently spent on designer bags and then gave two away. Then it’s usually a friend that tell me I’m ill. If I’m catch it early enough I can stop it’s progress with meds but a lot of the time I deny anything is wrong
I’m trying to curb my spending now by only buying things for the house so at least my house is looking better

Thanks daffy been buying everyone presents, so perhaps a little odd. Last time I put a grand on a horse race, banned myself yesterday from online gambling.

I cant really tell when its gonna happen besides when I start to notice signs

If I can get almost no sleep and feel like I slept a full night that is usually enough to tell me I'm going into a manic episode

But for me my Manic Episodes aren't a huge danger, my Depressed Episodes are what really concerns me sometimes

I'm still not sure if I just had a manic episode or it was me quitting drinking. It was only a few days I think. I hear you bptyrant mania is just a wild ride, depression can be a bit scary.

Agree I don’t usually realise I’m manic till someone points it out but they are preferable to the depression apart from the spending and the debt I get into. Still think I might go and buy a stylus for my iPad today tho

Spending is a sign for me like I will say I will buy that I will have that and that feels like I have all this money then suddenly I am short of cash. Its not just normal spending.
Then there's the not sleeping. Being thoughtless of others on the road. And others will tell me I look kind of spaced out and talk what's called 'pressured speech'
