I was looking on youtube and I came across an interesting video. It suggests that some bilingual people sometimes have more playful voices, possibly due to language. He explains that English is an accusatory language, while some other languages are not. Look at (2:39):

My mother's first language was French.
She said she thought and dreamed in French.

My primary language is english. But I think in spanish occassionally when I get stressed and it helps me with my voices. Thinking in spanish creates a barrier between me and the voices and tends to alleviate the tension between me and the voices.. in my mind the voices dont understand the spanish... that's the way I usually think..and it helps out.
