I think you'd be better off going to another doctor if they're not giving you a clear diagnosis, definitely, yeah. You need answers so you know what to do to move on and tackle this.

Hope you find those answers soon.

Hi Bhagya, and welcome to the forum :welcome:

I'm really sorry for all the difficulties that you have been facing. I imagine it's not easy for you at all.

Apart from giving you medication, has your doctor also referred you for talking therapy? I don't know if it's possible to refer yourself? Perhaps it could be something that would benefit you. Medication can sometimes help. However, it may also be useful to do talking therapy; a therapist could possibly help you to better explore your thoughts, emotions, problems, and figure out how to deal with them. Is this something that you would consider?

When I go to visit him he only gave me medication and he didn't discuss with what is my illness. I fed up doctors. First time when i visited the hospital, i didn't know that i have a mental illness. It is government hospital and i met the physician. He smilled me and my mother i have a mental problem not a physical issue. I felt sorry about my self and now i'm hating doctors. I feel they haven't heart and only work for the money. Sometimes i feel i want to give up medicine and give up everything and everyone. Stilli can not do that because i can not leave my family alone

I understand your frustration. I have also seen doctors that didn't seem to care or understand much. It was quite disappointing, especially because I was feeling really vulnerable at the time.

It's true, they do work for money, it's their profession; but I believe there are doctors that genuinely care for their patients. Can you see a different one?

Also, the physician may not have specialized knowledge on all mental health issues (I believe). It may be more helpful to get referred to a specialist, that has better understanding and is better equipped with knowledge and experience to help you

Hi there! Is there any chance you could change your doctor? To get another opinion or ask your doctor to refer you to a mental health team for a proper assessment? In some places you can self refer to the mental health team.

They should agree to see you even if they don't end up being able to offer you anything.
