Does anyone do this because things change and stuff builds up. And then doing it is a way to ‘cleanse’ yourself and reset your emotional state in a way? I find myself on the tail end of a session a few days ago and can only think the reason why was because my environment has changed. This might be a little bit of a truism.

Changes are hard.

Self-harm is not cleansing though, i know you know that, maybe try not to use that word as it puts a positive association with something that is not good for you to do.

Is it restlessness?

No just different. Logically I’m an idiot but emotionally I need that release. I’m a very paranoid person so every bang for upstairs has to be something to do with me and not just the puppy scratching himself.
