Anyone else have the problem where your anxiety pushes your blood pressure up everytime you go to the doctors so that they always comment on it but you know it's not usually that high?
When I sit waiting to be called I can actually feel it getting higher til I can hear my heart and feel the pressure in my eye balls.
How can I stop this as I think it's going to cause me problems and I doubt they'll beleive it's only when I'm in there!

Its a recognised phenominom called white coat syndrome. On the other hand do you monitor your BP at home, do you know that it is normally ok?

Yeah it's ok at home. My mams a nurse. It's once I sit down in the reception of the doctors. In fact even thinking of ringing for an appt sets me off.
