Benefit assessors?

Are ESA/PIP assessors more careful in how they treat a client if the person accompanying client is a social worker or a supporting living manager? Would a complaint against assessor by a professional be taken more seriously than if it was made by a family member this making the assessor less likely to bully clients and write false reports. Would the assessor be more thorough?

i would think so, going alone or with a family member neither of you have much power if you do get treated badly because the assessor can twist things around on you, professionals are intimidated by other professionals so if you can take one with you it will probably help your case a lot

I have the same problem coming up too, at the moment I have no care co -ordinator, it looks like my family will make no difference with what you have said, just lost in system, I tried to keep out of
