I have been battling depression for 4 years now. At one point it was eating me alive.

I couldn’t sleep,
Couldn’t eat,
Couldn’t concentrate,
Couldn’t socialise,
I Wanted to end it all.

However to everyone out there it gets easier. Be hopeful, I’m not cured or even close but it is getting better.

It took a while to admit to myself and my partner that I needed help, however I know I had to do it. So I made an appointment with a doctor and I started citalopram and have been on it for 2 years now.

Alcohol doesn’t agree with it anytime I drink I feel on a massive low for days. Reacting against the medication naturally. I try not to drink much at all these days it’s not worth it.

After I started citalopram for a few months it made me even worse than I was and I wanted to die more than ever. However my parents got a kitten and I fell in love with it. So I decided to get myself one.

Best thing I could have done because believe me it saved me. I know if I didn’t have that little cutie to snuggle me when I was down I’d be gone. I got another kitten a month later.

They are the reason that I,
Get out of bed daily
Smile
Laugh
Feel life is worth living.

Don’t get me wrong some days are still hard but nothing compared to before I got my babies ❤️

Just wanted to share that if you can find someone or something to give you hope and a reason to get out of bed. Your winning the battle that your facing.
