I have been in bed all day minus getting breakfast and lunch for my kids....just pass the worst mom award this way.

Also...my husband must be getting so tired of me, of my depression. I do nothing now amd once had such a high capacity.

My advice, for what it's worth, would be to go and see your doctor or pdoc. It could be that a change of medication is what is needed, or they may order some blood tests to see if your tiredness could have some other cause.

It is always like this. I am seeing my doctor on Monday as a follow up to adding Quetiapine to my citalopram. The citalopram isn't helping at all. I need to try something different. I see a pdoc June 3rd so my GP doesn't want to change to much knowing I will see pdoc so soon. :( meanwhile I am left to suffer and so is my family.

Sometimes we need time to rest. It can be good to let the family become more independent although i don't know hold old your children are, even young children can benefit from some independence. Children also like to help sometimes when mum is not well. It's not nice to be in bed when you want to be living life fully but at some point we burn out and need to rest.

Don't stay in bed too much as it makes sleep harder at night. Change your sheets and nightdress more often too as that'll make you feel better. I bought a huge beanbag when i went through that, and put it in my bedroom with lots of cushions and a soft blanket.
