Hi everyone !

Yesterday I had a really bad night, went from ok-ish to "i want to harm so badly" in a few hours. As I struggled to handle emotions and thought about different comments of people about my new scars I played one of my many favourite bands (gojira, for those who are interested) on youtube. Just a few heavy songs, just to see, what will happen.
I was not doing better, but I didn't harm. Somehow I felt like someone who is doing as bad as myself is there and understands me. It was like harming myself "from inside", feeling down.

Anyways... I didn't harm. And I think that's a win.

I am so pleased the music helped the urge pass. You did so well to not hurt yourself. :)

Thank you, its getting harder every day, hah
I admire you for wanting to stop the harming. That is a very positive step to acknowledge what you are doing is not making you happy.

Self harming is consistent, coping methods work but i think its best to find ways on defeating the issue, as coping methods do not solve the issues at hand. They need to be worked on. I am glad that metal music works for you. I say that we should cut off triggers also.
