Hi all, I hope you are all keeping well and safe etc. during these very difficult (COVID-19) times... I recently came across this video which is a invitation to a free 30 day programme aimed at reducing/beating Social Anxiety. It involves using EFT and is claimed to be scientifically proven to be beneficial etc. As it's free I personally think what is there to lose, and potentially a lot to gain, but I'm no Doctor etc. I'd also be interested to hear if anyone has tried EFT, and if it has been beneficial etc...

EFT just helps keep the mind more in the now, by keeping it more in the senses. it keeps more consciousness on the senses so the mind can steal as much of it for itself and get lost in a dream and re-traumatize itself over and over

I wonder if anyone is giving this free 30 day Social Confidence challenge a go... If you have/are has anyone actually been able to post in the comments section? Could anybody please tell me if they have found EFT useful/effective so far too? Hope you are all well and staying safe in these COVID-19 times :) Best wishes to all :)

Yeah I've made comments after watching the videos. Dunno if it's been effective yet, seems like it brings a little calmness, like you're doing the tapping stuff thinking about whatever anxious thing, accepting your feelings, and later on feel a bit calmer so then I got the sense it's not a waste of time, but ya know later on the anxiety returns, it comes and goes..

It could be my web browser then that is preventing me from posting comments, I'll try a different one :) I think one purpose of EFT is to divert attention away from those physical symptoms and to focus more on the tapping. Seems to me we are doing more tapping now, and if that helps then it's worth giving 100% commitment :) It is in my opinion that in time the tapping will become a habit, and we will as time goes by associate Social Anxiety with the sensation of tapping rather than the other physical effects we suffer from, which again is progress :) I wonder have you had any Social Interactions since you started the challenge, and if so, have you found them less stressful etc. PS: Thank you so much for your replies, you have no idea how much of a help they are. :)

Not been social much for several years really though I live with two brothers, we don't talk much. I used to talk to one brother more. I watched that long video on youtube today was pretty good, did plenty of tapping along. Felt at ease most of the day, still a bit trouble with some memories and obsessive thoughts about those.

Hi All :) I have just been looking at the video suggestion given on "bonus day" and 19:35seconds in Adi appears to close his eyes and yet he seems able to change his tapping along with Sebastian without prompting...

I think some of those Tap Along videos on youtube have been beneficial, it's hard to say for sure but sometimes they can bring stuff to the surface even if it's painful stuff, and then it's like maybe there's something beneficial going on

Thank you so much for your post :) I have been following the 30 day free challenge throughout, and it all makes perfect sense to me :) I have tried a different browser too, and I was able to post which is reassuring. :) Having painful memories come to the surface is great, as long as they have closure and no longer cause us distress, pain and misery when we re-visit them, and also as long as our more mature selves can handle them (if we're not in the company of a Therapise who knows what they are doing etc.), tapping is said to be one way of achieving this. The more of these painful memories we can neutralise the better, and the more at peace with ourselves we become. No doubt they will also have a beneficial effect on all of our relationships too. :)
