I saw a psychiatrist to get evaluated because I’m often depressed in a LOW low and he suggested mood stabilizers for bipolar medicine but told me that if I AM bipolar then I could try to harm myself and not even know I’m doing it. WTF? Is that true?

yes if in a severe depressive episode, there is risk of suicidal impulses.

My advice...take what a psychiatrist tells you with a big pinch of salt 🙂
