Got to admit to be envious of the places where people can go just to talk!
East Lancashire is having an awful lot of money being spent on many projects including mental health, but nothing seems to be there for the actual 'shop floor' as it were! (catch it before it gets too far)

Looking at the location of posters though it doesn't seem that East Lancashire has a problem with mental health as no-one else in my region is a poster - makes me a one-off!

There are facilities, but only for specific groups ie drug abuse and ethnic minorities.
Makes me feel almost racsist (only almost)
I certainly feel minoritised/isolated in my own way.

Maybe the people in suits should look at resolving ground issues - or maybe there aren't the votes in that?

I was told that they won't do specialist groups within the Expert Patients programmed round here as they do for diabetes, eczema etc because they think mental health patients are well catered for. Where are they catered for let alone well catered for?

They like to categorize people, place them into groups.
Spend a few quid here and there and pat themselves on the back for doing...nothing !

If it was'nt for the voluntary organizations the nhs would'nt be able to cope (not that it does anyway).
