There are many ways to assess whether you may be experiencing symptoms of depression. These can include, but are not limited to: feelings of hopelessness or irritability, feelings of guilt or self-loathing, trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or sleeping too much, loss of motivation, or change in appetite or weight.

What are you FEELING?

I’m Moderately depressed. Sometimes I feel like crying, sometimes I can’t get out of bed. Sometimes I cry for long period of time. I have trouble trying to fall asleep. I feel hopeless and despondent. I too experience loathing of my self, my life and my situation. I’m here for you if you need to talk!! Xx

Have you got any advice for me @Boudicca? A few things that help me probably obvious ; gratitude, social connections, walking & running, eating plenty of fruit & veg, keeping my feet warm, maybe turmeric, binural sleep music on youtube, radio 4

Plenty of gentle mindfulness walking. It works for me.
Eating plenty of fruit and veg won’t help. Eat Cod liver oil, an egg before bed will calm your brain, because eggs contain Choline that relaxes the brain. I use CBD oil that helps too. Binaural beats before bed will help too. Meditation or ( Going within) as me as a Pagan calls it.

The worst thing about depression for me is HIDING UNDER A ROCK. I just sit under my hard cold rock all day and feel desperate at times. I never come out from underneath my rock-sanctuary as I fear bad things will happen to me. Like getting ate by a Lion -right How sad depression is.

I feel depressed all the time. I felt better in the past when I was working
Also the long quarantine in my country has affected my mood in a terrible way. In my case although i am depressed by nature I think my condition has gotten worse because of my lonelines
