during a primary mental health team screening or something like that,a nurse i saw about a month ago was suppose to be talking to a pdoc about my medication i think and getting back to me, have not heard anything.
then i seen my gp 2 weeks ago and he said he would arrange a telephone appt with the pdoc for me to see about medication/ what he thought. i have basically been waiting by the phone the last 2 weeks for a call to get the time the pdoc would ring. ringing my gp to chase it up once as he told me to. heard nothing.
then today i got a letter to see a cpn last tuesday which i can't go to as i dont have access to a time machine.

has anyone had anything like that? will i need to see this nurse before i get the appt with pdoc, if she deems it necessary, no one has mentioned this before.
i have social anxiety and i already have an appt on wednesday with a private consultant as gp refuses to refer me to who i think is the right person so am stressed about that.

i don't understand why i am seeing another person in the same position as i already seen about 1 month ago.

sorry for going on, i dont know if anyone has had a similar experience.

I don't know Helena.

i would probably phone the GP again to ask about the phone appointment. Then phone the CPN to find out what the appointment was for. Or the other way round if you think it makes more sense.

Hope the appointment with the private consultant goes well.

I think you do need to get in contact with whoever sent that letter to find out whether they got the date wrong or there was a delay in you getting it. The last thing you want is for them to discharge you and then have to go through all of that again.

Maybe they have asked for a second opinion or it's a visit before you see the Pdoc or even a follow up, which is what I had.

i will ring on monday, hate getting stuff on saturday it seems like a long time since i can sort it.
want to ring up and cancel it as i dont think psychiatry is the way to go, but i know the parents would be mad and seen as they are funding my private treatment i have got to do as they say. also maybe it is not pms as i suspect so maybe psychiatry is the way to go and so i shouldn't cut my ties as you say marliee. i just want to go hind in a cave someone.
