That's what I feel. Apathy. I couldn't quantify my mood but now I can. Is apathy good or is it bad?

Certainly all the meds have kicked in and taken away those suicidal thoughts and the anxiety which I've never suffered from before has diminished but at what expense?

I dunno. Weird feelings at the moment. Even the abuse at home is washing over me.

Yes I have similar feelings. On antidepressant for 9 weeks....a little less anxious. No suicidal thoughts. But i’m far away from myself as I used to be . How long are you on meds?

I wouldn’t say good or bad but for the moment maybe protective? The apathy won’t last, hopefully it’ll give way to motivation to make things better for yourself and to feel happy again. For the moment though I don’t doubt you need a bit of an emotional break.

in a similar position, think medication, at least in its early stages, is just damage prevention in the form of apathy and disassociation. it takes more to feel good again but not being in danger and apathetic is at least marginally better than suicidal thoughts and is something you can work with a build on in a few months.

I've been max dose of sertraline for years. The psychologist added mirtazapine a few weeks a go. I also have propranolol but I dont bother with them.

Anxiety. Supposed to calm you down. Didn't do much for me.

The mirtazapine has made the difference. I sleep loads better and the anxiety has gone but the hunger is insane. I have an app that counts my calories so I'm running a deficit just try and make sure I don't start gaining unwanted weight.

I take Mirtazapin 15mg for sleep....I can sleep but I gained 7 pounds. I couldn’t stand at with Zoloft that made me drowsy and zoned me out. I was on Lexapro 10mg for 15 years till I quit it. I didn’t feel joy...,but i’ve never thought I was apathetic because of Lexapro till I read your post

I've put on a few pounds. I do weight train five times a week and watch my diet closely. By rights, when I've calorie deficit to extent I am at the moment the weight should come down quite quick. If it doesn't then I'll have to seriously consider dropping the mirtazapine because I work hard to get in good shape.

Not as hungry today, it's at a level I can tolerate. Still so meh. Meh. I'm sat here and everything is meh. Zero. If I was a number I'd be zero.
