Hey all, so it's been almost 4 years since I have self harmed ( I'm 22) and as strange as this might sound I only really noticed and fully grasped the scars on my arms 5 months ago, I have tried using bio oil for the last 3 months but read that if scars are white that they won't fade anymore plus its been years now.. I've been looking in to getting a full tattoo sleeve but I'm not sure if it will be possible since a lot of them are raised scars and i imagine it will cost a lot.

the last month has been stressfull and when I look at my arms now it's like I'm triggering myself and it's taking everything not to self harm again. I really don't want to ruin any recovery I've made but it's hard, I haven't worn a short sleeve top in 7 years now..

so I'm wondering does anyone know of any other ways/treatments to help reduce scars?

Hi Jaffa you have my sympathy my scars have turned white on my arms. Normally as I’m very pale skinned they dont show too much but in summer when i get a tan they are really obvious as they dont tan. The best thing i can recommend is getting some concealer cream them blotting it with a translucent powder
