Was just curious if anyone can't leave their homes?

I've suffered with depression, agoraphobia and panic disorder for 10 years and these last 2 years I have been stuck indoors due to the severity of my anxiety.

Hi and :welcome: to the forum. I get days when I can't leave the house because my anxiety is really bad. My daughter won't leave the house at all.

Try to go outside (at least in your backyard, balcony) when you feel better.
Increase the amount slowly. Then take a larger step and try going on short walks in places with less people and just nature, then where some people might be.
Its kinda like gradual exposure.

You can try some calming home made remedies, or medication to make it easier.

This stuff is beatable. I used to sit at home all day, and now I go outside daily and like it.
I used to shake and be scared at malls, and now I can buy whatever I want.

There is hope.

I used to be housebound completely. I now go to college twice a week which I dread every time it comes to go. It is know as Hikikomori in Japan.

I'm not entirely housebound 100% of the time but do suffer when I wish to go out, I dread every moment of it. Often frightened that the house will be burgled, I'll get picked up by the police, hit by a stranger, rundown or completely disgraced by actions that may occur. I take diazepam but it useless, but the issue really needs addressing by taking small steps, I've heard.

I don't know what is about myself. I have got a personal assistant that helps me get out very very occasionally but only to places, I know very well, going out to places I don't know is impossible.

I'm housebound.Since 2000.Mostly chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)more than agoraphobia.I just dont travel. Its a pig of a way to live.I look after myself so I cope at least.I use acupressure to get through a day.I have to find things to do to get through a day.I'm bored.I read a lot,l write documents which might make a good book to publish someday.I go for a walk out to the street every hour.Gets me out.

What do you do to get through a day?
