Anyone had issues going down from Sertraline 100mg to 50mg?

Sertraline 100mg is giving me sexual side effects and I'm going to talk to my doctor about reducing the dose to 50mg to try to reduce the side effects. I have anxiety with some depression. Is this a sound suggestion to make?

What are the side effects? Most of those are only temporary.

Mainly is difficulty to reach and orgasm, but also reduced sex drive to a lesser extent. I've been taking Zoloft for 12 years, I've always had those side effects to a lesser extent, but recently they've been worse

When I first started Paxil about 30 years ago I had the same problem for a little while. I had no problem getting aroused and erect, but I didn't reach an orgasm fast. It took a lot longer than it used to before I started taking that medication (actually, I think my wife enjoyed the change. LOL). But, the condition was only temporary. After about 6-8 months, it abated.

If you've been taking Zoloft for 12 years you may want to investigate another SSRI with your doctor. That's a long time to be on one medication. I was on Paxil for 25 years and it had lost it's effect, I recently started taking Zoloft as a transition from Paxil.

im on 50mg at the moment for anxiety / low mood and lemme tell u it takes me forever to get there. Only been on them for 2 months but so far all theyve done is make me emotionally and sexually numb. Honestly preferred being an anxious bitch & actually being able to cum than a sexually frustrated husk of a person
