Hi, I'm really pleased as I used to be on 850 mg seroquel and was unable to function. I've had to taper it down really slowly, ( Dr tried to drop it too fast and I got bad withdrawals) at last I have reached just 150 mg and will stay on this dose.

I have gone from an 'antipsychotic' dose to it only being an 'antidepressant' dose. I lost 3 stone, so far😀

Is anyone else is on this low dose? How long does 150 mg make you sleep for?
I am hoping that if I take it at 8.30 pm at night I will wake at 8.30 in the morning and be able to do stuff, especially as losing benefits and having to get a job is a worry. ( couldn't have got there on time on higher dose!)

Thanks.

I am not on that low of a dose. I'm on 300mg.

However I lost insurance and couldn't afford a doctor for new prescriptions and had to stop all medicines cold turkey this last summer. I knew, from the occasional missed dose, that I couldn't sleep without my Seroquel. I stretched it out as long as possible by cutting my remaining pills into quarters. So roughly 75mg. At that low dose, I was still able to sleep at night.

At 300mg I can take it at night and be unwillingly functional about 7.5 hours later. Willingly functional is a little more, but I also love my bed so that experience is skewed. So 8:30 to 8:30 is more than reasonable in my experience. But as always, we are not cookie cutters of each other and YMMV.
