hey,
I'm new here and I've been feeling down for quite a while now. I don't seem to find the answer to why I feel this way but maybe someday I'll get there. I'm open for talks with anybody so hit me up, maybe it won't be soo lonely when I have somebody to talk with.

Hiya and Welcome to the forum. We are here to listen if you wish to talk with people. I know what feeling low feels like so understand that. There isn't always a reason we can put our finger on but rather an accumulation of events and feelings which lead to us being down and very low. Have you seen anybody about this?

Hi Juju, I haven't been on the Forum for a long time, but am going through a bad patch right now, so thought it would be a good time to get back into it. I will be looking for particular subjects like anxiety and medication -- would it be worth you looking at the Depression forum?

Hi! Welcome to the forum. I can relate. From time to time I'll get down and feel lonely. I hope you find some posts that help you.

I feel down a lot of the time. I am a runner and if I manage to get out with the group if better.
My problem is i tend to shit people out when I down. I shut off notifications etc

Hi I feel this too which is why I joined two weeks ago. I have panic disorder/major depression and right now it's mostly the depression I'm struggling with. I have supportive family and friends but they've not gone through it themselves so it's hard to explain myself to them. It's so nice to come on here and talk freely to others who get it. Anytime you want to chat I'm here 💜

I’m feeling very scared today, very anxious and cannot stop going over and over conversations, events, memories of my ex boyfriend (he finished with me). I wake up every morning with a feeling of dread as I know the constant thoughts going round in my mind upset me - I drive myself crazy.

It's those obsessive negative thoughts that are fueling your anxiety....it's a vicious circle isn't it? The only way to calm the anxiety is to break that thought process. I know it's easier said than done but stick with it, it does get better. Have you tried meditation or mindfulness? There's some great videos on YouTube

Thank you for replying. Xx
I’ve tried mindfulness - which works for a short while but it doesn’t matter what I’m doing, where I am, who I’m with, my thoughts will just drift and then I’ll have to go over 50 conversations we had, over 100 times, until I get them straight in my head. I started antidepressants 8 days ago (not my first time taking them) and they say you can feel worst before you feel better - am hoping that’s true.

It's so hard isn't it! I've got panic disorder/generalized anxiety/major depression so I know that obsessive thinking all too well. It does get better though. I'm 13 days in on my second time taking antidepressants so not far off from you 💜
