any suggestions

Hi, I have recently been suffering from anxiety over the last few weeks , which has been getting worse. constantly worrying, tight throat, constantly finding it hard to breathe, and worse of all constantly thining about it. its horrible. i also have asthma, so that doesnt help with the panic attacks.

i went to the doctors twice, thinking i had a chest infection, but was told its more than likely anxiety. i dont wanna go back again, and ask for meds to help me through so i was wondering if anyone knew of any remedies, or herbal medicines??

thanks

dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum. :)

I'm not big on telling people to get the usual meds like benzodiazepines for anxiety, because I was addicted to them. It happens.

Have you heard of Valerian? It's an herbal over the counter medication. It comes in liquid form and pills. The liquid form I don't use because it has alcohol in it.
The pills are fairly good for general anxiety or sleeplessness. They come in different strengths.

It is advised to ask your GP first as with all medications.

I hope this helps.

thanks for the reply. i use valerian and have it in liquid form, i dont find it too good to be honest.

would i need to take something for the choking, tight chest sympoms or are they just part o the anxiety, which i have to slowly get rid of?

thanks for your help
