I got my new kitten last night and we called her Nookie!
She is really confident and after an hour of being here flaked out on the bed with her head resting on my shoulder and her body cuddled up against me. Every time I moved she readjusted her position so her entire body was touching mine. I couldn't sleep a wink as I was scared of squashing her! She's having so much fun at the moment exploring and follows me everywhere, if she doesn't know where I am she miaows! Photos to follow later!:love::love:

I have an old rescue Tom cat, but he loves my hubby loads and seems to hate the females in the house

My bird drinks quite a bit,but then it is quite a big bird (pigeon size). My bird doesn't go in his cage so I leave him a glass of water on the dining room table with his food.He spends most of his time on a perch swing which is suspended from the ceiling.

I have a rabbit and a rescue cat. (Lucy) Looking to rescue another bunny as my current rabbit (Pickles) really needs a friend. I have a double story hutch and she also has a 6x4 foot run. My rabbit is drinking practically nothing at the minute. I have read that she can get enough from her vegetables and fruit. I thought in this weather that she would be drinking so much. Oh - by the way - I know it is no comparison with birds drinking and a rabbit lol. I just mentioned it as it made me think of my rabbit not drinking.

My pets have always meant the world to me. I lost a 12 year old black Pomeranian dog just about 5 months ago. I loved him so very much and it took me a long time to accept his passing.

I have two budgies. Ones green and yellow, female. The other one is a blue Jeff Capes ( larger budgie ), male. They are great company and very sociable birds. They both get on great with each other, but joust sometimes. The female one is very sociable with me and let's me stroke her back, under her wings and scratch around her head. The male one socialises with me sometimes but is a bit timid and doesn't like me touching him. Although the female will sit on my finger, she won't always let me take her out of the cage. The blue one is harder work, but basically does the same. I've only had him out of the cage a few times so far.

My mum has a dog who just can't get enough attention, he's a cross of something and something.

hi,
my daughters each have a fourteen week old kitten. they are so funny to watch even when i'm feeling bad their antics can raise a smile. i was woken up at some ungodly hour this morning when 1 of them decided to shove her face into mine and then when i woke up and looked at her she just walked down the bed and laid next to me. a little later the other 1 decided he wanted to play and i was his toy. i discovered that i actually prefer my alarm to claws and teeth! it's funny how they're not even my kitties but it's my sleep they disturb.

I have a border collie (Pips),she's 5 years old and a real character.

I got her when she was 18 months old,she was badly treated as a puppy and it's taken me a long time to get her confidence back.
I took her to the vets after getting her and together we worked on a plan to get her well.
She's a wonderful friend to have around the place, she's full of the joys of spring and is so intelligent.
I play games with her every day,she loves tug of war with an old rope I have and she can even play hide n' seek if I can get her to 'stay' for long enough lol.

I have a German Shepard called 'Ruby', she is loyal and protective. I got her from a pedigree dog kennel, the best £440 I ever spent and I mean that. The only problem with having a German Shepard id the level of intelligence they show. Opening doors, flipping the lid of bins to get that last chicken bone, but she is worth it.

Rats are beautiful and make great pets! You're really lucky :)

I used to have two rats a few years ago, now I've just got a dog. He's really good to have around - he doesn't care what I look like or how I act, just as long as I feed him!
