Hi,

I'm not in a good way.

I'm a very worried type of person anyway but lately it's got worse.

Been single for 6 years and have just started dating someone through work for about a month...seen him about 5 times.

I haven't had much contact with him over the past day or 2 and now I'm so het up that he's not interested in me anymore that I literally can't switch off, feel sick with anxiety, I am in a bit if a state. I don't really have much confidence either.

I'm a mess basically.

Hiya. You sound in a bad way. My deepest sympathies. Why can't you get hold of your partner? Have you ever been taught anything that might help you with your anxiety? If you continue this way, maybe see a doc and get some short term relief for the worst of your symptoms. Pills are the best thing, but they have their place in my opinion.

Try reading up on anxiety on the Mind site and see if they have any ideas that might help you.

I always attributed shivers to an anxiety attack because I e only ever had them when under extreme stress.

Anxiety can isolate you and the more you stay in that state, the more of a habit it can become.

I’m battling that myself.

Fun fact, trembling is actually a side-effect of adrenaline. I tend to tremble when I feel both, anxious and excited, which is why I dismiss it as the body's natural response. I guess knowing the biology behind it also helps one calm down?

On a side-note, I hope you're alright, OP. Don't think too much about it. Maybe he's just busy? He'll reach you the first opportunity he gets. Try to distract your mind by doing something you enjoy.
