Welcome to the club! After much research it's put my mind at rest that how I feel is a normal reaction to anxiety and I have most of the awful symptoms, memory loss, confusion, lethargy, no appetite but I don't worry because they are all classic anxiety symptoms and they wont harm me.
I make a point of going out every day to be around others rather than stay at home when my brain will be focusing on the anxiety. Talking really helps and it's important to stay active and go out for a walk or shopping to distract you so that your focus changes, being around people helps. I enjoy chatting as it's a great distraction!
