I get Anxiety attacks bad once a day or so now where I can’t breath and my heart rate goes up, but out of the blue with no thoughts. My cptsd used to make me sob, and this is all new to me.
Any coping skills or even information would help. Maybe point me to the right google search even?

You need to start breathing more deeply and become more aware of your breath.
Controlling your breathing is key to controlling your anxiety

Do you have any lorazepam or sedatives from your doctor? Do you have a doctor?

I have a doctor, but he doesn’t want to prescribe any addictive drug just yet because I just started therapy. Pristiq has helped with the painful electrical anxiety. I have an appointment with him monthly for the next few months regularly. He wants me to try other methods first. I have gotten better, but the panic attacks are new. They don’t always last long, so he did say breathing and yoga. I also just got off all coffee.
Thank you for the breathing technique I just noticed I breath shallow or don’t breath at all when I get them now that you mention it.

If calming fails you can use the heart rate to do something more intense. Run, punch, scream, whatever is appropriate to the situation.

If I was driving i could scream or sing loud
If I was home I could go for a run.
If I was out i could find a secluded spot and just throw punches at the air.

Whatever burns off the energy. Breathing and calming never was my thing.

My anxiety / panic attacks also used to come from seemingly nothing and consist of no anxious thoughts. They just felt like adrenalin. Breathing and focusing on something else, as well as knowing what it is, knowing it cannot hurt you and that it will go away soon, really help.
