Does anyone find it hard to go shopping in the supermarket. Every time I go in one I feel like I will faint or lose control. I find it all so overwhelming and just want to leave.

Yes, I have thought of this but something in me feels this would be giving in to the anxiety and what would be next. However I can't rule it out if it never improves! Thanks!

I can offer a couple of suggestions;

listen to music (cd)s, before going out, I would recommend a good hopefully a good hour and a half only do listen to music to help you feel calmer, from the music industry such as easy listening, musicals or big band style jazz. Thinking of Diana Krall springs to mind.

Also, apply with the GP, or community mental health team, to request medication, I now take Pregabalin of 75 ml, which wasn't my orignal intended dose, however, due to admin in at home purposes for volunteering monitoring, I felt I needed seriously to be on a high dose of 75, finally when at a junior GP i had my wish so to speak, granted. Give it a go via the GPs, you never know, they just might med wise be able to help you out.

Best regards oh and try exercising to fitness dvds, that can do wonders. I would recommend chair fitness to start with.

Nope, I dont like shopping either. It gets overwhelming. To top it off I have a driving phobia half the time so I dont even like to drive to get there. I keep doing it though because I find the longer I go without driving or shopping the worse my phobia gets.
I always go with a list to help with it.

Yes, that exactly. Like I'm going to pass out or somehow lose control. Same on the school run. When I'm functioning I can do either of these no problem, but during panic/anxiety episodes I find it nearly impossible. Anxiety is such a bitch isn't it 😕
