Hey, so I hope you can help I’m not sure if I’m writing on the right place but I just need some advice. So I have anxiety and it sucks but I get on with life ya know. But there’s a few things that are weighing me down and stopping me reaching my full potential. So, I have this thing where say something bad happens and it can be anything like if someone says about something bad that happened I then for that entire day can’t do anything that makes me happy because I feel guilty and I worry I’ll associate the bad things with the things I love and I’ll end up always thinking of that bad thing whenever I look at the item I bought the same day and it’ll remind me. I know it sounds insane and literally so stupid but I have no idea what causes this? Because I’m a rational thinker but this happens all the time and it’s runing my life.

It sounds a bit like obsessive compulsive disorder or at least like a similar thought process to me. Ultimately we have to accept that we cannot control our thoughts and that that’s okay. I know that’s easier said than done. But for starters just try to remind yourself that you have every right to be happy whenever you can be ☺

So if you have a bad day, everything gets 'coloured' by that mood? Can you give an example?
