Hey,
I have had an anxiety disorder for years, since I was 21 I was diagnosed. Its hard for family to understand my hyper moments to tears or panic attacks. Its the hyper activity seems to annoy my family something shocking, its not always my fault.. I do meditation, I'm on medication plus I go walking etc.. How can I make them understand its not easy for me?

It's nobody's fault. Does no good to blame yourself or anybody else. I do the blame stuff in a way, but don't think it helps at all. With the anxiety, from what I've heard a few experts say, some areas of the brain are more active, or processing things differently or whatever, than a calmer brain would. So, I mean, how do you change that? It's liked we're wired differently from calmer people. Still, you do what you can to calm down, so that's good.

It's not easy to do that really, I try and explain but due to finances I still live at home and try and tell them I can't always settle, I take walks and that when I can but when they say you're too loud or hyper I end up crying 😔

Working on it, unless people have it, does the understanding get any easier? Good question, I write and go out if I can but when they say you're hyper or loud I end up crying. 😔

It is nice after a long time with mental health to be without it.

Hey, hope ur doing well. You bring up an interesting topic, one that might require alot of knowledge into the deeper relationship between your family and you, plus what you-
'can& cant' say etc... Maybe this is something you can explore, which is how your family feels about 'talking about emotions'. In order to communicate sometimes, theres this unusual Leap, that has to be made, especially with parents who have never experienced emotional moments. Perhaps it will take some time... My grandmom is experiencing breathing problems, and is still adamently holding on to a personality that lacks emotional depth. But i will tell you, shes ALot more open then she was just 4 years ago. So it took some time.

Thanks for sharing, I suppose it's a subject I find hard to talk about without it cracking me up somehow, usually in hyperness or tears if told I'm too much. I do a lot of meditation, prayers plus I read self help books but I Comfort eat due to emotional distress done it all CBT, counselling, medication and have depression also. Some days can be worse than others, either the anxiety chokes my breathe or the depression is not washing or feel lazy.. I'm trying to help myself by pure living but it's still like a haunted nightmare showing its face.. I write poetry too xoxo
