so I have shared there is a painful hip joint
coming from a past injury which I caused
which has flared up recently
especially when walking outdoors

I though I need to speak to a doctor
the receptionist said they are all booked up
so I said give me an urgent one I can hardly walk

and they have been a long time phoning back
about 3 hours I phoned
and of course I'm worried they will say I'm exaggerating
and that it wasnt urgent because of my MH issues
which they dont like dealing with

and to be honest I dont really know how urgent it is
that is why I need to speak to them
and I have social plans for the rest of the week
I cant wait in all week for a doctor to phone !

the pain is triggering my anxiety attacks
which I had gained alot of mastery over the last couple of years
now I have the right medication and some talking therapy

now the anxiety and tension is coming back
which probably makes the pain worse

Hi Zoe,

They really do need to get back to you soon..
Please keep contacting the doctor if you don't hear from them by a certain time.

xx

There is such a thing as pseudo-gout. Looks like gout, feels like gout, but isn't. As I remember, I think it's associated with diabetes or thyroid conditions and has nothing to do with alcohol or eating fatty foods. I found out about it years ago when I had a scary looking leg injury that looked like gout but turned out to be not such a big deal after all. Best of luck to you with your x-rays etc!

I feel for you @Zoe1 and @HauntedWitch, my ex, who is still my best friend suffers from terrible arthritis in her hips, knees and back and I know from her what a strain it can be. I have osteo-arthritis in my knees from an old injury but its stopped causing me pain since I lost weight. Hope you get some respite, both of you.

thankyou Haunted, yes could always be a pseudo something
it could also be an infection I read about
which is difficult to detect , glad yours turned out OK !

thankyou Parayana , I took less baggage with me today
which mean I had to leave my camera at home to reduce the weight I'm carrying ,
might miss filming something important though

Pollypop sorry to hear about your husband ,
Haunted also mentioned the same things, thyroid and diabetes
so maybe it is linked

Does walking or exercise ease the the pain afterwards Zoe
Or does it make it worse.
People say keep moving, but quite honestly I can’t.
Does the hip pain affect your groin? Mine does.

Seeing the gp in 2 wks.
Have also got lumbar spondylosis and osteoarthritis in knees.

I get anxious wondering whether it is going to be a good day
or bad day or how long it will last.

Hope your tests go ok and you can get something sorted.

thankyou Pollypop

walking does help, but I did alot more than usual today
so really flared up badly

it needs short walks and rest, rather than what I did today

not the groin no, I'm sorry you have spondylosis
and osteoarthritis

a health shop lady prescribed me some nettle tea
which seems to help a bit
