Anxiety and Depression: Which one do I have?

I primarily have anxiety but if I don’t exercise enough self-compassion I start to feel ashamed and that can cause depression. Self compassion is a good place to start if you have either. Our reactions to our depression and anxiety can make them worse and accepting our experience and being kind to ourselves can keep things from escalating to a less healthy place.

This is a helpful post because I know I have anxiety but sometimes wonder if there is a hint of depression there. Sometimes it's easy to get confused, especially if you don't trust your own mind.
