Not addiction but when I do start, I find it quite hard to find my cutoff point in that occasion. I know its bad, I know it is wrong just sad that I was so bad last night I drank alone and I never do that.

Yeah that's kind of a natural. after one starts drinking the feeling is euphoric and one usually wants more. But the feeling is and a loser and temporary.

You would have to create substitutes, and a new mindset. For instance by saying starting Monday you're going to stay away from alcohol and instead start Health and fitness regime. Almost like a military campaign or an astronaut training. Just substitute water or anything nonalcoholic just stay away from it and the people and places that encouraged it. Wear a tracksuit during the day and be totally physical and alcohol urge we'll take a backseat.

Such good suggestions, I think I need to stop completely and forever, it will be hard and even now I am thinking a hangover cure would be a small fruity cider or a cigarette, but I am having a tea and watching some tv and feel calmer since deciding this, just with uncertainty of work and halth issues I would love a magic wand but I suppose the work starts with me

Of course you may have urges right now to get over your hangover. But regardless if you set start date (like this Monday) almost like a military planner. That's the day you're to stay away from it and start I self care health and fitness regime. It's like you're a movie star getting ready for a roll. You Got a workout eat right stay away from negativity, and get solutions to problems coming up in the future. You'll have total control and power!

Yes I am aiming for Monday onwards and I am happy enough to start getting therapy too as drink fills voids only temporarily

I stopped drinking in January. I was drinking, like three or four beers on a daily basis. I just substituted working out in physical activity. Now I don't even want to drink. The only drawback is I can't hang around with a lot of different people who used to drink or go to bars much. It's totally I habit and lifestyle the majority of Western people have. My doctor thinks it's an epidemic

I want to rehab for drinking. It was great. I occasionally drink but it’s not as involved in my life now that I’m older. I must admit I drank for my birthday but I haven’t drank since. I can go months without drinking.

are you on any medication? There’s a number of reasons to stop drinking you just have to be strong and realize two is better then six.
