I am in Bed day and night not functioning etc. Told Gp who has spoken to Care Co as he thinks I need admission. CC is having a meeting apparently with Consultant tomorrow. Do I really have a choice - they will realise I am quite Unwell. Do they take seriously what a good GP says. CMHT were discharging me the day GP said I needed Admission. Does Informal turn to section as soon as they realise I just stay in bed and hardly move? Or when I refuse to speak or take horrid meds?

Hi Juliet, I'm sure the GP really cares about your well-being and is thinking of the right thing to do. I don't know much about sectioning, I think you have to be pretty seriously unwell. I hope someone who knows will be able to explain it and ease your concerns.

No-body really cares. I am suffering in solitary confinement too.

How long have you been in bed all day and night for? days, weeks or months? What was going on when it all started?

Since June - I suppose I'm Depressed, just a bit. It doesn't matter as I may as well be dead and would rather be. No one can disagree that this is a waste of a life and I'm young. No one bothers with me,

I hope you get some help Juliette. You say no one bothers or cares, but your GP obviously does? And the cc and consultant are bothered enough to have a meeting? I hope things get better for you xx

Hi Juliette,

I feel so sad for you all alone and feeling so depressed. it sounds as though you have a good, caring GP who knows you are in need of more support.

Do you think a short stay in hospital would help? I realise this is a hard question to answer when you feel without hope. An informal admission is usually the preferred route with regard to a hospital admission. A mental health section could only go forward after you have been assessed by a GP, Psychiatrist and a Mental Health professional. They would take into account your views and wishes as well as focusing on what is needed to get you well.

A GP can start the ball rolling in the way of showing his concern for your health.

I really hope you get some good quality help soon. Keep holding on.

So another day. Another day in bed wasting my life. I expect I'll be the last to hear the outcome of the meeting. I don't think they'll spend any money on me. Forgot to say earlier in the thread that services in my area are rated Inadequate by the CQC and they've had 129 deaths in the past year - the highest in the country and no doubt rising. GP said I needed admission last Thursday. I don't participate in the world at all anymore so it doesn't really matter. I'd love to hear what's said at the meeting - inevitably very defamatory. Ignore it (me) and it'll go away. Or do you have to commit Fatal Self Harm first?

Does anyone know how to get this deleted

There's a small period of time after posting that you can edit your own posts. Otherwise you can report the post and politely ask the Mods to delete it, if possible. It may depend on the number and content of replies to your post too. It's generally encouraged to think posts through carefully before posting first. For now, report the post you want deleted and see what happens. Take care.

Its all Crisis management with the services, instead of prevention. If they monitored us properly when we are clearly vulnerable, which you are; offered us a clearer avenue to get help, we wouldn't even think the quoted question. I know that feeling, but so far I have resisted. I hope you will too.

Just wanted to say as well, We are all connected to each, we all affect each other. So please remember, you are therefore worthwhile, important and valuable. I don't know you, but I can relate to your words. Keep talking and let others come and see a way through.

And..........The answer to all this is the Home Treatment Team. GP tried very hard to have me Sectioned and it was a scary conversation. Two GP's came together to see me at home yesterday which is scary and serious in itself. He also said that he'd send me to a Medical Ward otherwise for the not Eating and Drinking part. He asked to look in the Fridge - I felt like I'd doubled in age at that point. He more or less agreed that services were saying Fuck You to his referral.

Hi Juliet.

Give the Home Treatment Team a go. I have had their involvement in the past as an alternative to a hospital admission and they did help. Your life is VERY important and the care you are getting is no reflection of how serious your condition is. In my view, it is very serious and life threatening.

Being assessed is quite daunting and I can imagine how scared you felt.

Sadly, the CMHTs are so thin on the ground and have resorted to unsafe practice. It is not personal to you and is more a reflection of all the cuts.

When are HTT coming to see you?

Keep safe, xx Harper
